SUCTION AND FILTRATION OF DUSTY AIR FROM SCRAP MILL
Plants: filtration, ATEX plants
Application: waste
Location: Spain
Guaranteed emissions: < 5 mg/Nm3
Introduction
The present case story involves the suction and filtration system for ferrous materials hammer mill, realized for a Spanish company specialized in wastes materials handling.
Problem
Dust emission in various points of the process line and potentially explosive atmosphere.
Solution
TVT realized a centralised dust suction and filtration system, including piping, a bag filter, two cyclone separators and two exhaust fans.
The dusty air generated during the crushing process is sucked in strategic points of the mill and conveyed to two cyclone separators, whose function is to separate the coarse and heavy particles from the gasflow.
Thereafter, the two flows of dusty air are conveyed to the bag filter for final dedusting.
The separated dust is evacuated from the hopper by a screw and discharged by a rotary valve into the collection device.
The clean air is then conveyed to a centrifugal exhaust fan, which evacuates it into the atmosphere through a chimney.
